Meet the Webb Family!

"Hope is not what we thought it was. It is not the promise of a cure for today or the restoration of
all that has been lost. Hope, in the face of dementia, is smaller, quieter-an ember glowing
softly in the shadow of what has been taken. Yet, it is also something greater. It is the spark that
lights the way for a future we may not live to see but believe in nonetheless.

Hope grows in the spaces we once overlooked-in the way music can awaken something
untouched by memory's erosion, in the way a story told for the hundredth time still holds the
power to connect. It lives in the steady rhythm of caregiving, in the unspoken bond that deepens
as words begin to fail.
Together, hope becomes a shared language, spoken not in words but in presence. It is the act
of creating joy in the now, even as the future feels uncertain. It is finding beauty in the cracks left
by dementia, the way sunlight filters through broken glass."

The Alzheimer's Association has been there for us and for countless families, providing a lifeline of resources, respite, and community. Their work goes beyond support; they are driving research forward, looking toward a day when no one has to experience this journey. But they need all of us - each of you - to make this hope a reality.
Poet Mary Oliver once asked, "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" John and I are determined to use ours to share our story, to break down the stigma, and to show others that there is life, love, and dignity even in the face of loss.

We look forward to celebrating HOPE with you.  See you at the Gala!
